"The road to Hollywood"
California in the 50s, the atmospheric paintings of Edward Hopper, Orson Welles’ ”Touch of evil“, Francoise Sagan’s ” Le Garde du cœur “ (The Heart Keeper); all needed to be reflected in the photo shoot and not only was this achieved, but - achieved successfully!
Julian LeBallister, the photographer who was there at the very outset with Anna Fuchs, has managed to capture this and portray the vision perfectly.
Together with a large team, he travelled all the way to the Californian desert and hunted out crooked ruins, traditional relics of the USA, to be the perfect backdrop for telling the story of a young woman and her journey from the provinces to the big city life of Los Angeles, to fulfill her dream in Hollywood.
Please enjoy!
